  • History of an enterprise

    1973: at the very beginning a small reality started its operations in San Lazzaro, close to Bologna, dealing with fixing systems, and marketing small metal parts such as blind rivets, rivets, nut and bolts.

    1981: to widen its production activities, Rivit moved to Idice.

    1990: Rivit started production of blind rivets. Blind rivets were produced in different alloys, responding to the needs of many application sectors.

    1994: A new Company Division was created, for the management of stainless steel screws and bolts.

    1998: Rivit started production of tools for blind rivets and inserts. UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 Certification was obtained for the design and production in 2009.

    1999: New premises in Bologna were opened, taking the opportunities connected to the booming market, and making continuous investments to keep abreast of the market itself.

    2002: at this stage the new goal was the International Market, daring to compete with new realities and to widen the strategies of partnership and marketing.

    2006: It was time for a new challenge: Rivit moved into a new, bigger and more modern building located in Ozzano dell’Emilia (BO) and equipped with an automatic store, which assured and supported a cutting-edge logistic system, able to fulfil the widening demands of the international market.

    2011: Rivit India Fasteners Private Ltd is born. The new production and distribution Company for India and the Far East, based in Chennai, services all companies of sheet metal working: automotive, transportation, appliances and electronics.

    2013: Rivit celebrates 40 years of activity on the market.

    2016: Renewal of the management system and website, with the digitization Rivit focused strongly on the market online.

    2017: Rivit Maroc was founded, the new subsidiary in Rabat, the capital of Maroc, an open window on the African market.

    2018: Rivit Lazio, our first point of sale in Lazio, turns one year old. It was designed for both the industrial-metal sector and the building sector.
