Discover the main strengths and technical features of our range. Choose the right equipments for quick and safe installation.
Self-clinching are mechanical fasteners applied by pressure on the host sheet metal, and they either create a male or female thread quickly.
Thanks to the special knurling under the head, they ensure quick and permanent fastenings, with no need for further welding or screwing.
The self-clinching can be installed either with manual or pneumatic presses, and are ideal to be used on thin and already painted materials because they do not scratch or damage the surfaces.

Self-clinching fasteners Rivit: which are the main strengths?

  • Fast and easy to install

  • High pushout and torque-out resistance

  • Wide range of applications

  • Possibility to work on thin or pre-painted sheets

Do you know the various types of self-clinching Rivit?

The range of Rivit self-clinching includes 3 main types of fasteners

NUTS

The round nuts allow to create threads on thin materials, in fact they are pushed into a pre-drilled hole and, thanks to the pressure, are fixed without damaging the material.
The flat nuts offer the advantage of being completely flush on both sides, within the sheet thickness.
Last but not least, come the hexagonal nuts which, due to their shape, guarantee high values of pushout and torsional resistance./br>All types of nuts are available in carbon steel and stainless steel.

STANDOFFS

The standoffs allow a quick assembly of the sheet metal with other elements, when it is necessary to keep them at a specific distance and parallel to each other. They can be installed on sheet metals having a minimum thickness of 1 mm; they come both with through or blind thread, and they are available in stainless steel or carbon steel.

STUNDS

The studs can be installed on sheet metals having a minimum thickness of 1 mm, to obtain threads where to screw nuts. They are made in different materials to provide solutions which could not be possible with other products: stainless steel, carbon steel or phosphor bronze.
A smooth version is also available, to be used as a pin or for centering when installing secondary elements.

How to apply self-clinching fasteners?

For the installation of the self-clinching, Rivit offers:

RIV2100: manual press featuring a high ratio between power and maximum working safety.

RIV2200:pneumatic press coming with 8 dies: small in size, it offers very big performances.

RIV2450: pneumatic press with 450mm throat depth, 8 dies included, and it was designed to be safe, flexible, compact, economical and easy to operate and maintain.
