HOW TO CHOOSE THE BATTERY POWERED RIVETERS?

Monday, October 19, 2020
Let’s continue our driving path to the choice of riveting tools. Operating instructions and features the important aspects to be explored when evaluating the purchase.
HERE Part. 1 How to take a decision?
HERE Part. 2 How to choose the Hydro-Pneumatic Riveters?

If you deal with metal sheets and panels, and riveters are a daily tool that you frequently use with blind rivets and rivet nuts (aluminum, but not only it), it is important for you to know at the best the operating instructions and the technical features of each single model.

  •   Hand Riveters

  •   Hydro-pneumatic Riveters

  •   Battery-powered Riveters

  •   Automatic Riveters

  •   Control Systems Riveters

Battery-powered riveting tools combine premium performance with easy to move: the functional capacity of lithium batteries ensure greater autonomy than traditional ones with the same power.

RIV750 is a battery-powered tool, designed for use with all rivets up to d.4.8, all alloys. Ejection of the mandrels follows the force of gravity, i.e. either forward, through the nosepiece, or backward, into the proper mandrel container. RIV750 features 8.500N tensile strength and it comes with a 1.3Ah battery and a battery charger, in a metallic case.

RIV760 is the superior battery version, featuring 13000N tensile strength.
Ejection of the mandrels follows the force of gravity, either forward, through the nosepiece, or backward, into the proper mandrel container.
It was designed to place standard and structural steel rivets up to d.6.4 mm, and extra-long Fioriv rivets d.4.8-6.4, normally used by tinsmiths as fastening system on corrugated panels for insulated coverings and on brick hollow flat blocks. RIV760 comes in a metallic case with a 2.6Ah battery and a battery charger.

The following optional are available on request for above models:
- Retention nosepieces that firmly hold the blind rivet by means of a lateral ball. In this way, even when using the riveting tool in a horizontal position, the blind rivet does not fall.
- Universal nosepieces: thanks to its rotation you can select d.2.4-3.2-4.0-4.8 mm of the blind rivet, without replacing the nosepiece at all times.
- Head extension: 200mm extension kit.

RIV790 is a battery-powered tool designed to place rivet nuts from M3 to M10, featuring 13000N tensile strength.
The tool is strong and versatile, and the screwing of the rivet nut is done automatically when it is positioned against the tie rod; by pressing the trigger, the rivet nut is deformed, and automatically unscrewed from the tie rod. Rivet nut clamping is carried out by the adjustment of the front ring nuts.

RIV790 comes in a metallic case with tie rods and heads M4-M5-M6 (M8-M10 on request) and with a 1.3Ah battery plus the battery charger.
