The Rivit range of rivets and fastening solutions for the solar photovoltaic systems

Gtreriv rivets for photovoltaics
Gtreriv rivets are completely made of aluminum alloy (body and mandrel), corrosion-resistant and impermeable to water. Gtreriv rivets are ideal for fastening solar PV panels brackets on corrugated sheets and sandwich panels. They are available for hole 5.5 mm to grip thicknesses from a minimum of 0.5 mm to a maximum of 4.8 mm, and for hole 6.5 mm for thicknesses from 1.6 mm to 6.4 mm. Recommended tools for installing Gtrerivs are the RIV7 hand riveter, the hydropneumatic RV503 riveters and the cordless RIV750 and RIV760 riveters.
Fiorivpanel rivets for photovoltaics
Fiorivpanel rivet, aluminum body with a dome-head, zinc coated steel mandrel, unlike the standard fioriv rivets on the market, is designed to be used on corrugated sandwich panels for insulated coverings and on brick hollow flat blocks. This rivet, in fact, was designed with a low resistance tensile strength, so that, during setting, there is no possibility for the mandrel to come out of the body.
Fioriv rivets feature four notches under the head of the mandrel which, in the pulling phase, cut and deform the rivet body into the typical shape of an anchor. They are available in Ø 6.4 mm to grip thicknesses from 40.0 mm min. to 235 mm max. Recommended tools to install Fiorivpanel are the RIV7 hand riveter, the hydropneumatic RIV500 riveter and the cordless RIV750 and RIV760 riveters.
Tubriv and Jackriv rivet nuts for photovoltaics
The Tubriv rivet nuts for heavy-duty fastenings, and the Jackriv ones for light fastenings, are ideal for applications on sandwich panels, since they can create metric threads on thin thicknesses. The Tubriv is available in galvanized steel and the Jackriv in galvanized steel and stainless steel. The special geometry of these rivet nuts, when deforming, creates a large blind side, flower-shaped bearing area, which makes them highly resistant to sharing stress, creating female threads where there is no access to blind side. Recommended tools to install Tubriv and Jackriv are the RIV903C hand tool for rivet nuts, the hydropneumatic RIV916, the , and the cordless RIV790.
Lockriv rivets
The Lockriv rivets feature a particular deformation of the body, which deforms by compression and creates a large blind side bearing area on the riveted material, which provides a wide tolerance of the hole diameter and also high shear and tensile strengths. Ideal for use in aluminum materials. They are available in aluminum, zinc coated steel, AISI 304 stainless steel, and 4.8, 6.4 and 7.8 mm diameters. To place Lockrivs, Rivit recommends the e the hydropneumatic RIV508 or RIV504 riveters.
Rivlock blind bolts
The blind bolts are a speed fastening system for applications that require a strong mechanical resistance in parts subject to high vibrations. The reduced working-time is given by the overcoming of traditional fasteners, such as bolts with nuts, together with an easy installation that requires no special skills. The system consists of a bolt and a collar; the fastening is done with the moulding of the collar on the bolt locking grooves. Rivlocks come in zinc coated steel, in aluminum or stainless steel, with dome or countersunk head. Rivlocks are standard blind bolts. The main advantages of blind bolts are the reduced setting time, the constant mechanical features and the ease of installation. To place the blind bolts you can use the hydropneumatic RIV508
tool for blind rivets and blind bolts, that sets structural rivets up to ø 7.8, and Rivlock blind bolts up to ø 6.4. The RIV508 is a reversible tool: rivet suction and nail collector. Also, the hydropneumatic RIV509 tool for blind bolts is specifically designed to install blind bolts ø 6.4, 8.0 and 10.0 mm, and more it cuts the collars of the placed blind bolts. With respect to screws and bolts with nuts, the Lockriv rivets and the Rivlock blind bolts feature higher speed and more resistant fastenings of the panel on the sheet metal holder, which turns out to be also a valid system discouraging the theft of the precious panels.
